- 1/2 cup coconut powder /milk powder /khoya
- 1 tbsp yoghurt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Pinch cardamom powder
- For DANGO-
- 1 cup steamed rice
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp saffron water
Instructions to make to make Dango gulabjamun
- Gulab Jamun: Make a dough and Shape into golf size and marble size for stuffing. Over a gentle heat deep fry in olive oil/ghee. When golden brown, remove, drain and dip in warm syrup.
- Syrup: Boil together half cup sugar, half cup water, quarter tsp rose water, pinch of saffron and pinch of cardamom. Remove when it achieves one thread consistency.
- For Dango: combine together one cup steamed rice with 1 heaped tbsp of sugar and 1tsp of saffron water. Shape into golf-sized and marble size, place in a steamer, and steam for 10 minutes. Serve with soy sauce.
- Soy sauce: Boil half cup soy sauce, 2tbsp sugar and corn starch to thicken it.
